Chesterton's state-of-the-art valve testing facilities conduct both API and ISO test protocols for emissions performance up to 12-inch diameter valves. We offer a wide variety of testing services for valve users and manufacturers, including:
- API 622 2nd Ed.
- API 624
- ISO 15848 for on/off and control valves
- Chevron Texaco
Testing Facilities to Simulate a Wide Range of Conditions
Chesterton's "open-air" VOC test facility provides state-of-the-art 100% methane emissions monitoring. A second inside facility comprised of three dedicated rooms is used to perform testing using non-volatile fluids and gases including water, steam, helium, and boric acid. These tests are designed to simulate accelerated product life testing.
We can simulate many critical industrial application conditions under pressure capabilities of 15000 psig (1030 bar g) for gas and 10000 psig (690 bar g) for water, and temperature capability to 8500F (4500C).
The testing facility is run by a test team of dedicated technicians and with the support from our Engineering staff. We use the latest data acquisition systems that allow multiple tests to be conducted simultaneously. Chesterton also can create and develop protocols using "Best Engineering Practices" to provide meaningful and repeatable testing where these protocols do not currently exist.
